OU Kosher Raisin Juice Concentrate

Raisin Juice Concentrate (RJC) is a pure extract of raisins. It is prepared by leaching raisins with water in several stages to produce "raisin juice." The liquid is then evaporated in a vacuum pan to obtain a desired concentrate which is self-preserving. RJC contains a minimum of 70 percent natural fruit soluble solids. California raisin juice concentrate is made without the addition of sugars, preservatives, or any other ingredients.

Product Usage:

RJC functions as a sweetener, natural coloring agent and flavor enhancer. It extends the shelf life of baked goods and retards mold growth (natural substitute for preservatives). It is also used as a humectant.
